Talgat Dosymgalievich Temenov (Kazakh: Талғат Досымғалиұлы Теменов; born November 23, 1954; Malibay) is a Soviet and Kazakh director, actor, screenwriter, professor. People's Artist of Kazakhstan (1998). Artistic director of the Kazakh Musical and Drama Theater named after K. Kuanyshbayev. He was born on November 23, 1954 in the village of Malybai, Alma-Ata region. In 1976 he graduated from the acting faculty of the Alma-Ata Conservatory. From 1976 to 1980 — actor of the Talda-Kurgan regional drama Theater. From 1980 to 1982 — assistant director, screenwriter of the Kazakhfilm film studio. In 1986 he graduated from the Higher Courses of screenwriters and Directors (workshop of S. Solovyov) In 1988, he made his debut as a film director with the film "The Wolf among People", which was awarded by a number of film festivals, including the Special Jury Prize "For the best directorial Debut" of the International Film Festival in Lisbon (1990).
