Hilal Nebahat Çehre is a Turkish actress, singer and model. She was elected Miss Türkiye in 1960 and represented Turkey in the World Beauty Contest. He played very different characters in many films since 1961. Between 1964 and 1968, he starred opposite Yilmaz Güney in 13 films. He worked as a singer between 1970 and 1991. His song "Büklüm Büklüm", composed by Sezen Aksu, became popular. He became known again for his roles in television series in the 2000s. Çehre, the only daughter of a family of four children, is of Laz origin on her mother's side and Georgian origin on her father's side. He lost his father at a young age, and his family immigrated to Istanbul when he was five years old. He started his education at Mimarsinan Primary School in Istanbul. She dropped out of her secondary education in Fatih. She studied at the Evening Girls' Art School for five years. After graduating from this school, she worked as a secretary in a knitting factory. In 1959, she was chosen first in the Turkey Beauty Contest organized by the Journalists Association and became Miss Turkey 1960. She represented Turkey at the Miss World Contest held in London. She worked as a photo model and model for a while. She first appeared on stage as an actor in the Children's Department of the Istanbul City Theater in 1961. In the same year, he started his acting career with the movie Wild Gülüm, directed by Ümit Utku. In 1962, she starred in the movie Aci Hayat, directed by Metin Erksan. In 1964, she starred in Osman Seden's Unforgiving Woman, Memduh Ün's "Dag Basini Duman Almis", and Nuri Akinci's Kamali Zeybek. When she was not chosen as the Beauty Queen in Turkey in 1965, she was sent to the USA to represent Turkey in the Miss Universe Contest held in Miami. She starred in 13 films between 1964 and 1968 with Yilmaz Güney, with whom she shared the leading role for the first time in Kamali Zeybek. The couple got married on January 30, 1967. Pire Nuri and Seyyit Han - The Bride of the Land were the last films they starred in together. They divorced in 1968. Çehre moved away from cinema during the sex movie craze that started in Turkish cinema in the 1970s, and after studying for two years, she worked as a singer. She received support from Zeki Müren in her stage life. After being engaged for six years, she married national basketball player Yavuz Demir in 1976. This marriage ended in divorce in 1979. Çehre, who moved away from the stage while she was married, did decoration and fashion-related work. After her divorce, she returned to stage life and continued singing until 1991. Her song Büklüm Büklüm, composed by Sezen Aksu, became popular. Çehre started acting again in 2004, appearing in the television series Haziran Gecesi.
