Her films include No, nominated for an Oscar in 2012, Violeta Went to Heaven (Violeta se fue a los cielos), awarded the Jury Prize at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival, Circumstance, a 2011 Audience Award winner at Sundance, Post Mortem (2010), The Good Life (La Buena vida), which won a Goya Award for Best Spanish Language Foreign Film in 2009, Tony Manero (2008) and her most recent film, The Blind Christ (2016, El cristo ciego). Chignoli has a Master of Fine Arts in Film Studies from Columbia University in New York.
