Short Summer in Lhasa
Samki, a Beijing drifter for years, returns to her hometown Lhasa to shoot a film about her childhood friend Lhamu. While feeling stuck and uninspired with her film, she constantly fights with her father who’s a Tibetan Opera director. One night after the shooting wrap, she coincidently runs into Lhamu, the archetype of her film’s protagonist. The ex BFF (best-friends-forever) have not seen each other for ten years. They are both embarrassed and feeling estranged. The night passing quietly, the memories of childhood are gradually revealed.
