In the grand ballroom of Edo Castle. The 13th shogun, Tokugawa Iesada (Kitamura Kazuki), and Atsuko (Kanno Miho) are about to hold a wedding ceremony. Behind the seemingly luxurious and lavish party, there is a complicated political situation between the shogunate and the Satsuma clan. A secret engagement with Katsuaki Togo (Ryuji Harada),a marriage acceptance on the orders of Shimazu Nariakira (Hirotaro Honda), the feudal lord of the clan.
